Out of Surgery

By all accounts, the hand surgery was a success. I had wanted them to install the corkscrew and allen key options, but they talked me out of it. I was liking the idea of no more fishing around in the junk drawer when I had to open a bottle of wine, and no more fishing around in my pack when my bike broke.

Apparently once they saw what was going on inside, they decided that plates and screws were a better option than the wires. It's all wrapped up in a splint thing that gets re-evaluated in 2 1/2 weeks. I'm off work today, eating Tylenol 3's like they were Smarties. Damn, if those things had a chocolate coating, they'd be perfect!

We can rebuild him. We have the technology.

Better. Stronger. Faster.

I swear when I really screwed up my shoulder, back in the 80's, I saw God. I was taking a couple of those things every 3 hours, and had to sleep sitting up.

Then I discovered the downside of codeine.

It's worse than cheese, man.

Marilyn had the right idea. For every T3, drink 1 prune juice. I'm modifying it... For every *TWO* T3's drink 1 prune juice.

The Tylenol is to help you forget the taste of the prunejuice.
