Its been a good couple of weeks for me and mountain biking. Last weekend in Squamish and today in Pemberton. Pemberton is known for its steep rock faces and loamy forests and it didn't disappoint.
Nine of us hired West Coast Freeride Guides to pick us up in Whistler and drive us to Pemberton. Once there he drove us up the logging roads, dropped us off at our chosen trailhead, then hustled back down the hill to pick us up at the bottom and do it all over again. We got in 5 rides in total.
This is the rig that we had to carry us around. It comfortably sat all 9 of us plus the driver, all of our bags, 9 bikes on top, and still had plenty of jam to climb up some steep logging roads.

Lee Lau organized the trip and acted as guide, deciding which trails to ride, and showing us around. We rode the steepest and gnarliest terrain I've ever ridden. There was some stuff that we rode that I wouldn't have been able to walk down. I really felt that I took my riding to a new level today.

You lucky bugger! I will never forgive myself for not doing it. But I had to spend time with the woman.
I guess I will have to wait until next time!
Cheers man!
