New Residents in our Forest

We've seen the occasional red breasted sapsucker over the last few years but lately we've had a resident pair living very close by. I know this because I've been spending the better part of my days lying in the hammock trying to fix an inflamed nerve somewhere behind my shoulder blade.

Rachelle has loaned out my compressor and air hoses and hidden the hammers to keep me from doing any work. It's now been over a week since the affliction struck and I'm starting to go a little nuts.

I've been getting a bit better every day, but I'm still not good enough to go back to work, especially since doing drywall right now. We're heading to Vancouver this afternoon to see the incredible Chinese chirocracker, Dr. Fong. Since getting treatment means leaving the island, it seemed worthwhile to get treated by a practitioner who knows me even if it takes a half a day to get to him.

Hope your feeling better soon. I am in pain as well, baseball season has started and every year it gets more painful! I'm afraid Paul will hide my ball glove!
