This is a transcript of a hilarious conversation between a UBC Chemistry Prof and his daughter. On many occasions I've begun to have a similar conversation with a kid. My problem is that I can never get past the first few iterations before telling the kid to go find me 10 feet of fallopian tube or a left handed screwdriver. Maybe if I could trick a kid into asking about regular expressions in a stream editor or repacking a front hub on a road bike I could actually get somewhere.

Okay, the truly frightening part is that I now understand parts of what he's saying...polar and non-polar, etc. Help!
