Lower Crippler is one of my favorite trails on the Shore. It's awesome the whole way down and ends with an elevated creek crossing that's classic "Shore". A ladder bridge that goes on for ever.
Unfortunately that bridge has fallen into disrepair and was in danger of breaking and seriously injuring someone. Four of us went in last weekend on a very wet day and created a temporary creek crossing by disassembling the bridge and reusing what we could.
Its no longer elevated as high as it was, but at least you can ride it. We're working on getting permits from the District of North Vancouver to rebuild it, but that can take a while. At least its low on the mountain and only takes 10 minutes to hike into.

Beautiful bridge. It's nice when things are shaped to fit in with nature, rather than the other way around. To bad it's in disrepair.
