Happy Father's Day

If I could, I would prepare a fine dinner of barbecue steak, roast potatoes and steamed asparagus for you today. I would open a fine bottle of your favorite wine, sit at the table with you and talk about the world.

I would change many things - if I could. I would go back in time and undo the inevitable.

These are dreams.

For today, and what we actually have, I will think of you fondly, continue to focus on your healing, and simply hope that you find your way to a peaceful place in the middle of impossibly difficult times.
