Hallelujah! She's gone at last!

No! Not Rachelle. Very funny. And to all you hopefuls my favourite Montreal Yiddish curse: "May all of your teeth fall out except for one and from that may you have an eternal toothache." Or better still, "May an old rotting trailer manifest in your backyard and may no one offer to remove it".

What's missing? Not the car this time....
Here's our new Hornby Island drinkin' song! Everyone together now....!

The old trailer, it stunk up the yard.
The view of their house, it was marred.
So Sasha and Yani
took the trailer to Stani
and all of their neighbours clapped hard!!!

( Shasha is a friend on Hornby. Stani is the recyling depot manager. Yani is Sasha's 'suitcase' excavator)

Deputy Doug protects fledgling arbutus tree from harm

Sasha and the powerful Yani release the trailer
My studio in the trailer.... east view
... west view

THE TRAILER IS GONE!  Archangel Sasha came with his tiny powerful machine and with a little pull here and a little push there, the trailer was released from its footings and on its merry way into the blue beyond... which on Hornby is the recycling depot. The trailer will be dismantled, disassembled, disembodied. And tomorrow we will be able to haul the rest of our collected construction debris off the property. Jed Clampet doesn't live here any more. Tell everyone you know.

Which old trailer? The green/white trailer.

Congratulations Doug and Rachelle! It couldn't have happened to a nicer couple.

What, no movies of the procedure? I went looking for a "trailer"; but, alas, none was to be found. Now you've witnessed my attempt at humour, don't you find yourself wanting more? How about a groaner, like: What's the last thing the shipper does to "Tickle me Elmo" before he packs him up for shipment? He gives him two test tickles! Keep up the good work on the blog. We are into it at least twice a week. Looking forward to the day when the cruise lines include Hornby on their way to Alaska. Then we'll seriously consider dropping in for a cuppa.
Much love, Anne and Warren

Gosh, she's gone and I never got a chance to get to know her. Life is fleeting. Gather ye rosebuds while ye may...
