Our friends and egg providers, Greg and Taglia, just arrived home from a short trip to Tofino to find a brand new baby Angora Goat. They didn't even know that "Mademoiselle" was pregnant. Mademoiselle and her male compadre "Monsieur" came onto their farm when they got a lama named Felix. The three are inseparable. They are never any more than a few meters apart.
Mademoiselle, herself, is only a year old and, apparently, its a bit sketchy for a 1 year old to give birth and properly care for a kid. In this case, it looks as though "Fille" is a bit premature. She doesn't have the energy that a kid should have even at that young age and can't seem

to nurse herself. Taglia has been holding Fille up to Mademoiselle's udder with some success but it looks as though they are going to have to milk Mademoiselle and bottle-feed Fille 6 times a day. Fille will have to move into the house for a week or so until she gets stronger.
Their daughter, Cloe, suggested that Mademoiselle move inside as well so she wouldn't be so traumatized by having her baby taken away. As we were leaving, Greg was walking away shaking his head.
