Last night we grabbed the buckets and headed out to the blackberry patch near where I work for our annual berry picking evening. The crop was a good one this year and no one had been working our plants like they had in previous years.
In an hour we picked enough blackberries to keep us going for a while. They'll get used in daiquiries, pies, crumbles, and as an icecream topping. Rachelle is talking about making blackberry jelly. I've never tried it, but I may get on that when the autumn rains hit.

I'd love to try some jelly and the berries taste awesome in those cobbers. M
