Day 13: Mudding Almost Complete

Sorry. No pics today. We worked long and hard until there was nothing that was dry enough to work on. By then the daylight and my ambition had faded making photo taking impracticable. After that Jules and Ian made us dinner and we watched the Canucks soundly thrash the Black Hawks. Thanks Platertons! That was a nice break!

We hired a guy to help us a few evenings back but that didn't work out very well. He just didn't have the right experience and I had to redo most of the stuff that he had done.

Rachelle has been working the mud on the days that I've been at my regular job. Her drywall finishing skilz are getting quite amazing. Right now all corners and joints have multiple coats of mud and are drying. Some are actually fully done and dry. Tomorrow we should get it to the point where Rachelle can do a light sanding on Monday morning and start rolling primer in the afternoon.

We have to move out of our temporary lodgings on Thursday so the pressure is on. We may have to spend a night or two in the studio until we can start moving stuff back into our house. It'll be just like the old days when we first moved here and did all cooking on the Coleman stove. At least there's hot water and heat in the studio.
