New Rings

On the occassion of our up-coming tenth anniversary, we had a friend of ours, Emma Bracefield, make a new set of wedding bands for us. Emma is a very talented goldsmith with a beautiful sculptural design sense. She made a dual fitted ring set for me (with no diamond) and a solid band for Doug. They were too beautiful to save for our actual anniversary, which is September 21. So we decided to combine the occassion of sleeping-in-our-cabin-on-Hornby for the first time with renewing our vows on Sandpiper Cove, the sandstone beach ten minutes from our house. Our former rings now sit one inside the other, around the stems of wild flowers collected from our property, in the active position of New Hornby Home Talismans.
