Too much livin'!!

We've been on a roller coaster ride here, Vancouver Island and Calgary, of late.  Our visit to Calgary went by like greased lightening.  Highlights were the miraculous appearance of Doug's cousin Heather (who lives in Burlington) - at the airport when we arrived in Calgary.  We ate, we drank, we watched Daimhin's star performance of synchronized swimming (very elegant and poised young lady who will be a future star). We saw Hannah performing daily.... (we already have a direct line to Corrections Canada as well as ACTRA).

Let's see, there was the giant baby, very cool Haida manga, the drooling in a real liquor store, designer cup cakes and a stack of bbq ribs with Doug and Scott at the helm!  We also went on a tour of the Wild Rose Brewery, which was definitely a highlight on all fronts.  And all this with no camera proof.  Who will believe us?  We miss our extended family and look forward to visits out our way - for those of you with tents...

From what I hear (from your mom) everyone in Calgary had a fantastic time even with the half hour walk in icy conditions to get home for the "rib" supper at nine p.m. Our temps here finally got below 0 and can't seem to get up above 0. Oh well no snow here yet but I just heard that Bracebridge (where our cottage was) has 80cm. Thank goodness we don't have the cottage anymore or we would be on the way north to clear the roof off. Maybe some summer when we get a tent, we will head to Hornby Island (but no surprises like H.)
