Christmas at RaDo's

Another great Christmas flew past this year.  Highlights were Christmas eve with tortiere and CBC's "Fireside Al" reading The Shepherd, one of our traditions.  We love that reading. We topped off our tortiere meal with this beautiful pomegranate fruit salad that Judith made.

Christmas morning Peter and Judith (PeJu) showed up at the crack of dawn and collectively we raided Paul and Lisa's (PaLi).  Or, more specifically, Peter had Santa envy and had to share it with our neighbour's very little children.

After we stuck around long enough to see Lisa unveil her Hunter Wellingtons... and designer leather bag... we skipped back to our house (.. remember ALL of us are in pj's.. ) and dove into the stockings Santa brought for us.   We got some great bootie:  ipod dock, much needed clothing basics and beautiful bedding, a primo bottle of Scotch from PaLi and oyster gathering goodies from PeJu.  Jules and Ian (JulsIan) had also given us delectable edibles before heading to Victoria.

Missed sorrily from all the action are our good friends Rob and Amanda (RoMa) who are still in Australia while Rob continues his miraculous recovery from a bad case of the bends. This uncooked tortiere is waiting in the freezer to have with them when they come back.  We are going to celebrate Christmas 2009 with them in February 2010!

Happy Holidays Everybody.

Sounds like a great Xmas on Hornby Island. We (all the McCreas) went to Steve and Jen's this year. A total of 30 people (the Heslop's could not make it). They have a lovely home with lots of room (not like our little bungaloo) and everyone had a fantastic time.Keep in touch.
