The Mothers

Once again Paul and Lisa were kind enough to give us the loan of their Japanese Chateau. This time both my and Doug's mother, Dorothy and Marilyn, were the honourable guests.

There was a seat sale that they both jumped on and, as it happened, were on the very same flight that originated in London, where my mom lives, and had a stop over in Calgary, where Doug's mom lives.

The mothers were here for a week that was filled with baking, dinners, beach walks, tree falling and subsequent clean up, as well as a get-together with some of our friends to meet and greet said moms.

Marilyn filled our freezer with baked goods for Doug (no Pete, you can't have any). And both moms baked up goodies for desserts when they were here, did some clothing alterations... helped make fruit cake for Christmas.

The weather held out for their visit and we even had nightly deer entertainment.
