Take a Kid to the Firehall

Paul and Lisa and the kids are up for a while. They own the gorgeous house next to us that we often use to put people up in the off season. Their eldest son, Colm, is pretty stoked on all things related to firefighting like trucks, gear, hoses, etc.

We tried to take to the hall last year but he was pretty nervous of the whole thing. This year he was still a little unsure of the whole thing, but I kept him interested enough in some cool stuff that he hung in there for a half hour or so. He tried on my hardhat and it almost fit. His neck was pretty sore after a few minutes of having that bucket on his head, though.

If Max and Wilson ever get to Hornby, you're got two almost firefighters on your hands. The firemen in the Burlington area almost know them by name as they've been to all the fire houses in the area. Max has questions coming out his ears and Wilson is right behind him. I wish they were closer. You'd have a ball showing them around.
