Stormy and Sunny Day

All of our work this week was up on the beams and top plates of the house that we're building. Today it snowed just enough that it made it too treacherous to be up there so we took an early weekend. An hour or two after we left the weather started to change.

It never really got what I would call "nice" until late afternoon. That intermediate period had some pretty dramatic sky. I tried to further my HDR photography skills and learned some more new things.

  1. Most photos are way better as conventional LDR shots.
  2. If you go out looking for cool things to experiment on with your camera you will find some pretty neat stuff.
Here is the best of today's shots:

The Sunshine Coast mountains from Grassy Point. It's the only
HDR shot that turned out today.

I was SURE that this shot of Olsen's farm
was going to be a great HDR shot, but turned out to be much
nicer as an LDR pic.

Very nice shots, Doug. It is amazing what you can find when you just look around for stuff, isn't it?
