Your favorite studio potter has a new website. I spent a few days figuring out Wordpress, found a great template, and used it to create a new look for RachelleChinnery.caIt seemed a bit strange to be using 2 different sites to house Rachelle's website and blog. Rachelle was also finding it really cumbersome to edit my hairy HTML code to make updates to the site. It was like pulling teeth to get me to make maintenance changes so we decided to use a more friendly content management system.
So far it seems to be working pretty nicely. I really like the no-muss-no-fuss Wordpress setup, although if one had never previously set up a domain on a remote host it wouldn't have been quite so easy. The WPFolio template that I used had a bit of a learning curve, but after a few evenings of tweaking I was able to get it pretty much the way I wanted.

Really like the new website Rachelle! I tried to send this message from "contact you" on that site, but it doesn't seem to work. Message on that page reads "clean contact".
I unpacked boxes in my new house this week and was so happy to see the beautiful tea set. I hadn't seen it in 2 years and it is more stunning than I remembered - its an honor to have it. And I think EVERYONE needs one!
