Sunny day in Vancouver

Its been a long wet spell here on the affectionately named "wet coast", but today the sun came out in a large way. I took my new digicam out onto the deck and had some fun with the macro mode.

We've picked up 2 digital cameras in the last month, thanks to ICBC, the government insurance company. I got paid out for a claim that I had outstanding with ICBC as a result of getting hit by a car whilst riding to work last year. I've got a small waterproof point and shoot that I carry with me everywhere, and a digital SLR rig who's primary purpose will be to photograph Rachelle's work.

I'm pretty much sold on the whole digital camera revolution. I think our film SLR will be taken on paddling trips which are hell on a camera. I just can't see using it for much else, tho.
