Nadine's Excellent Hornby Adventure

On the whirlwindiest of whirlwind tours, my sister Nadine stopped off on Hornby for one day (two nights) before heading to Kamloops for a conference. It was a speedy but delightful visit. We did a whack of 'must do's': the Thanksgiving Farmers' Market where we bought veggie bounty for our dinner, the Helliwell walk and dally, the Ford's Cove followed by Heron Rocks visit, and a laze on Sandpiper Beach before heading to the airport.

Once again Paul and Lisa were generous enough to lend us a bedroom at Chateau Paul Road. We met up with lots of local folks at the market: friends, acquaintances and adored characters. We ate all local food, including mushrooms, chicken, squash, potatoes and plums. It was a great visit - short - but terrific. Next time will be a little longer and possibly a real estate adventure! Yep, Hornby in the sunny shoulder season ..... what's not to love?
